At Shafner Law, we are proud of Alan Shafner’s father, Sidney Shafner, a 94-year-old World War II veteran who is reuniting this week with some of the prisoners he saved from a Nazi concentration camp 71 years ago.
The nonprofit organization Friends of the Israel Defense Forces flew retired Army corporal Sidney Shafner to Poland to attend and be honored at the special commemoration of the liberation of Dachau death camp. Shafner will meet with some of the 30,000 Holocaust survivors he helped to save when his troop liberated the death camp.
